4th Degree Flag Collection and Sale
UPDATE: Per an email from GK Salvato, we will not be collecting flags this weekend (May 30/31)...Please do find any flags you may have that are in need of retirement, and expect an email with more details in the next few days.
From Sir Knight Dan Klemm:
Brother Knights,
The 4th Degree is holding its annual Flag Collection and Sale. We are collecting old, tattered, weathered US and other flags to be ceremoniously "retired" on Flag Day, June 14th by the 4th Degree and the Boy Scout Troop at Our Lady of Hope. We have new 3'x5' nylon flags with hand-stitched stars for only $25 when you turn in an old flag or for $30 alone. Also, we have US flag lapel pins for sale for $1 each. I am tentatively planning on standing out front of the church during masses this coming weekend and the following week and need your help. Please sign up for a shift following mass. I have not heard a confirmation from Fr. Mossiman yet that he will allow us but am hopeful and need to plan accordingly. If you wish to purchase a flag for yourself please bring one to "retire" and your check to the meeting tomorrow night. Checks are to be made payable to Pope John Paul II Assembly #2914.
